Here is a STRIKING Berkey and Gay antique secretary hutch that’s been lovingly updated with a historical technique using authentic black milk paint, hemp oil and wax. The finish has a slightly primitive, yet very smooth feel with areas of wood peeking through for the authentic look of a slightly time worn finish. Interior and drawer are lined with a black peel and stick paper with a gold floral pattern (easy to change out if not your look). 

The hutch features long elegant legs, a beautiful display area with 2 shelves, a working drawer for storage and a pull down desk area with cubbies. The table top desk section does not lay completely flat when open, and would not currently be usable as a desk without adding support brackets or chains to hold weight. Antique keys provided for opening, but they no longer lock.
